Aimee Mann

21 January 2006 by kristarella

A musician I’ve discovered recently is Aimee Mann. She’s totally awesome! I first heard/saw her on BTVS in episode 7.08 called Sleeper. It’s the episode when ensouled Spike realises that he’s been siring vampires1. Aimee Mann plays at the Bronze and towards the end of her song Pavlov’s Bell there’s a dramatic pause when Spike […]

Underworld: Evolution

20 January 2006 by kristarella

I saw Underworld: Evolution tonight. It was awesome! I loved it. I’ll admit it’s not for everyone but for me and the mood I’m in today, it’s got it all! It had mystery and intrigue, it had kick-ass fight scenes and plenty of blood, it had romance and quite a revealing yet tasteful sex scene. […]

Trying to kill the magic lion

12 December 2005 by kristarella

I read a newspaper article yesterday about how the liberal academics of America are condemning the new Narnia movie because of it’s Christian allegory. How stupid! It’s fine for the cinema to show any kind of evil slasher film, or Harry Potter which shows witchcraft (which some fundamentalists have been opposed to). Those things are […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
