God exists

20 November 2006 by kristarella

On Friday night at Fully SIC we looked at James 2:14-26. I love some parts of this passage, they are just such a slap in the face – sometimes to me, sometimes to others. Especially this bit: 18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your […]

Age has nothing to do with it

18 October 2006 by kristarella

Argh, something is wrong with my back. I can’t twist it, I have to try staying straight but then I get tense and uncomfortable. I don’t know what it is, a muscle or a disc, it seems to be quite distinctly on my right side. ~ What is up with short skirts and leggings? I’ve […]

Belief is such a weak word

6 September 2006 by kristarella

This post could also be titled “I value my guitar but I don’t bow down and worship it” or “Tolerance is a four letter word”. I was reading a post by Genuine titled More On Tolerance And The Ability To Disagree, which led me to a post by Jay aka The Zero Boss titled Is […]

I didn’t realise quite how true and multifaceted that heading was when I typed it. It’s so sad that for whatever reason a number of different species in our world are becoming rarer. This morning I was reading about how bees and the flowers that they pollinate are become rarer in England. Which is sad […]

Last 24 hours

1 May 2006 by kristarella

I’ve had a pretty good last 24 hours. I’m quite content at the moment. Yesterday I was finishing up my photo blog. Although I realise that there’s a problem on the comments page but it’s only visual and it’s not too big, I couldn’t figure out what was causing it so I’ll just wait until […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
