No one thinks big of you

18 August 2007 by kristarella

There’s been an ad campaign in NSW against speeding. The catch phrase is “No one thinks big of you.” In the ads the people wiggle their pinkie finger. I have no idea if my brother’s assignment has anything to do with that, but I was proud of his movie making efforts…

16 August 2007 by kristarella

Today’s XKCD comic reveals a marvelous truth about science. It’s the same in biology. Put a PCR on, or something that needs to digest or wash for an hour or two and then do something interesting. 😛

Random things

27 July 2007 by kristarella

I went to the postdoc office looking for Matt. He wasn’t there, but the guy who was later told him a girl with an American accent was looking for him. I don’t have an American accent… I don’t have a thick Australian one either, but perhaps I’d better watch my ‘r’s. I can’t find the […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
