Learning is good!

7 January 2007 by kristarella

Joy! Yesterday I learnt a lot about Inkscape and vectors. Mostly about cutting and joining paths, which I couldn’t do before. I guess it’s thanks to Veerle‘s tutorials on swirls that I linked to yesterday and then her ribbon tutorial. I’d tried the ribbon one before but it didn’t work because I couldn’t figure out […]

Linky

6 January 2007 by kristarella

I thought I might share some links with you that I’ve found or had shared with me that I really like. Not because I’m bored or lacking for things to say but because I think they’re worth sharing. Actually, I won’t lie, I was asked to share this link. Jeremy of Haunted House Dressing is […]

2 January 2007 by kristarella

I’ve closed my “homepage”. There’s currently nothing at the address kristarella.com and it automatically redirects to this blog. The only things I had there were some graphics, most of which I’d already posted here but some I hadn’t and so I’m now going to. Wouldn’t want them to go to waste 🙂 I created an […]

Dear dear

30 December 2006 by kristarella

Hubby went to the doctor over two hours ago and he’s still not home. He has had a blocked ear for about a week, it seems to be a recurring thing. He’s been pretty grumpy since dinner time last night, while I hope he’s not still waiting for the doctor I also hope that he […]

Holy Moley!

29 December 2006 by kristarella

We had an enormous thunderstorm here a couple of hours ago. I squealed a couple of times in response to the loud thunder. I’m not necessarily easily scared or surprised, it was LOUD! I tried to get some photos of raindrops, I didn’t try to get the lightning, I didn’t have the right angles or […]

Dali

17 November 2006 by kristarella

I realised that I haven’t posted much about myself lately. I’ve posted a lot about events (work mostly), and abut my computer but I thought I’d post some random things about me that you may not know. They’ll be in the “Me Stuff” category. For some time my favourite artist was Salvador Dali. He was […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).

A little book I made from Bunnings paint sample ca A little book I made from Bunnings paint sample cards. It’s going to be for mini paintings and collages. Sometimes it’s nice to start with a colour rather than a blank white page!
