Learning is good!

7 January 2007 by kristarella

Joy! Yesterday I learnt a lot about Inkscape and vectors. Mostly about cutting and joining paths, which I couldn’t do before. I guess it’s thanks to Veerle‘s tutorials on swirls that I linked to yesterday and then her ribbon tutorial. I’d tried the ribbon one before but it didn’t work because I couldn’t figure out the cutting stuff in Inkscape. The swirl tutorial was easier so it was a stepping stone to the ribbons.

There is also an excellent Inkscape manual that you can buy or look at freely online. It has examples that integrate many different features that I still haven’t played with.
