Blogroll

29 April 2007 by kristarella

I shouldn’t get so worked up about something like this, but I am infuriated that at some point WordPress changed all the category and link IDs such that categories and links are effectively the same thing, which means that wou can’t have category ID 1 and Link ID 1, it changed the numbers of all […]

Campaign Month ’07

28 April 2007 by kristarella

My friend Dave (come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever called him Dave, he’s more of a David) has declared this, the month of April, to be the second inaugural campaign month. Ok, so I made the “second inaugural” bit up myself, but it has a nice ring to it don’t you […]

Frydee

27 April 2007 by kristarella

I actually went to bed at a sensible hour last night, ready to get up early this morning, but I didn’t really get to sleep properly until the normal time I go to sleep. I guess that’s how bodies work. If that’s the case though shouldn’t I not be so tired? I got 11/10 for […]

Remember

26 April 2007 by kristarella

Left to right: Gran’s uncle Frank; my Grandpa Keith in the 80s; Chief Petty Officer Gordon Johnson and his brother, my Grandpa, Lieutenant Keith Douglas Johnson; Seaman Toby Ingerson, Gran’s brother (Toby wasn’t his real name, I can’t remember what it was, everybody called him Toby). I visited my Grandma on ANZAC day. I think […]

Sew… buttons

25 April 2007 by kristarella

Woot! I successfully took up my new jeans and fixed my old ones! There wasn’t actually any button sewing, that’s just a line from The Truth About Cats and Dogs. Admittedly I did sew the butt of my old jeans together, as I was afraid I might do. I started off okay but somehow during […]

Hazar, bugger and hazar again

24 April 2007 by kristarella

I bought new jeans yesterday and I’m half way in taking them up! When my Nan moved into a retirement/care place Mum gave me her sewing machine. I hadn’t taken it out until last night but it seems to work and is easy to use. I only got up to cutting off my jeans and […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).

A little book I made from Bunnings paint sample ca A little book I made from Bunnings paint sample cards. It’s going to be for mini paintings and collages. Sometimes it’s nice to start with a colour rather than a blank white page!
