Ship ahoy!

6 February 2007 by kristarella

Woooot! My MacBook shipped this afternoon and is supposed to be delivered on Friday! It was possibly going to take a maximum of two weeks to be delivered. This is less than one week. We’re pretty busy this weekend, I won’t have much time to play with it. Perhaps if it’s delivered in time I […]

Saving

6 February 2007 by kristarella

I wish I had saved my money for the past eight months as vigorously as I have for this past month. I’ve put away about a quarter of each pay packet to go toward my MacBook. I decided when I started working more hours at the start of last semester that I’d put whatever was […]

WTH?

5 February 2007 by kristarella

My last post just posted five times even though I pressed the “publish” button once. There is something wrong with this computer. It’s running Firefox 2, the same browser works fine at home. Also, I just got given a stethoscope by George from the lab next door.

Rest of the weekend

5 February 2007 by kristarella

Sunday night was fairly weird. We walked in the door at church and I was welcomed by Scott asking me whether I’d received an email about doing the bible reading this week. The new roster was done last week but not sent to anybody. So that was a slightly annoying start to the evening, it’s […]

Most of the weekend

5 February 2007 by kristarella

Most of the weekend was great. We went to karate on Friday night. We went to MIL’s to set up her new computer on Saturday morning and we had lunch there too. We went to Chatswood to try to order my MacBook but the resellers don’t really do educational prices. We ordered it on the […]

Girl Power

2 February 2007 by kristarella

The internet is sooo slow (we went over quota again – luck we’re upgrading our plan), I’m reposting this because I think it timed out the first time. Last night I nearly changed a tyre. I saw “nearly” because I know how to do it, I got the spare out and the tools, just as […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
