I wish I had saved my money for the past eight months as vigorously as I have for this past month. I’ve put away about a quarter of each pay packet to go toward my MacBook. I decided when I started working more hours at the start of last semester that I’d put whatever was left in my account from the previous pay into a saving account when I next got paid. It didn’t really work out that way.
This time I’ve decided I only need a certain amount for food and travel and a few other things and the rest has gone away as soon as I get paid. It works much better. I shall have to keep trying to do so, perhaps we could give more to church, I could save up some money in case something goes awry with my job.
When uni goes back in three weeks I’ll be working fewer hours. I don’t know how many, I hope I can still cover food and travel then.
