Palindrome

16 May 2007 by kristarella

I saw someone do one of these for their name and I thought it was so awesome. In church the other night, I realised that I had it in me to do one too. It isn’t perfect since my name has seven letters and the symmetry of the design is in the fifth letter. I […]

The Third Dimension

16 May 2007 by kristarella

I’ve been investigating 3D modelling software. I’ve used Blender, Cinema 4D, and I’ve had a brief look at both Art of Illusion and Maya. I thought I’d give a summary of my thoughts on them. Be warned, I am a 3D modelling noob, don’t take offence to any negative comments, these are just my first […]

Totally insane!

16 May 2007 by kristarella

Things have started to feel pretty crazy. After all the family stuff on the weekend (which was very nice, but prevented us from doing dishes and washing and all that), I got a bit sick and didn’t do the supermarket shopping. Now I’m back at uni and I’m trying to be diligent and do some […]

Sunday Night

14 May 2007 by kristarella

Watching Buffy, the final episode of season 4, I have realised something that I never have before. Funny, since I’ve seen it so many times. Trivia

12 May 2007 by kristarella

A couple of bits of trivia that I came across this week: According to this website cocoa beans are from the tree Theobroma cacao. Theobroma is Greek for ‘food of the gods’. The ancient Aztecs honoured the cacao tree and used its beans as a form of currency. The tree was a source of strength […]

Confronted

12 May 2007 by kristarella

I’m not good with confrontations. I never know what to say and I end up acting sympathetic, but not really saying anything useful. This morning at karate one of the women was very annoyed because she thought the class wasn’t helpful. She was annoyed because people who started after her are now higher grades than […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
