Dang. I’ve been on holidays for a couple of months so any exposure to the news that I got through other people has essentially gone.
It was pure chance that I turned the TV on today and it was on the aerial channel rather than the DVD channel. I saw a tiny snippet of news that said Heath Ledger was found dead yesterday, from unknown causes. They’re still hypothesising that it might have been sleeping pills.
It made me sad. It’s nice to see an Australian make it big in the international scene. It’s sad when young people die (whether they are famous or not).
It will be strange to see him in The Dark Knight.
I heard that a couple of days ago, too 🙁 He’s great in A Knight’s Tale! They said it may or may not be suicide… I haven’t heard what the conclusion was. If it was suicide, I can only imagine the stress it brings to be so prominent. I would definitely not want to be famous!
