Depression with a side of anxiety

19 April 2013 by kristarella

That’s me! Well, it’s not “me”; I’m not defined by depression, but it is a significant part of me that I have to manage the best way that I can. What’s there to be depressed about? I can’t decide if this is a fair question, or one that shows a complete ignorance of mental health […]

Do you check email or does email check you?

18 February 2009 by kristarella

I have to admit that at this point in time, email checks me. I like to think that I am good at email… I generally respond quickly to emails. I take action on emails and get them out of my inbox as quickly as I can. I try to respond as quickly, thoroughly and helpfully […]

To-do Software

19 January 2008 by kristarella

A while ago I downloaded iGTD. I used it to put aside the things I’d rather be doing than studying for exams, so I could do them in the holidays. I also wanted to get used to the software before I started my rather busy year this year, in the hope that I might feel […]

1 January 2008 by kristarella

We have a few shared calendars on Google Calendar, which means that I have to make sure that the things in my diary are on the calendar so that we both know […]

25 October 2007 by kristarella

When I was studying for the HSC (final high school exams) I alphabetised my CD collection. Does everyone do that? Does everyone find normally silly or mundane tasks scintillating and satisfying when there’s something worse to do?

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
