1 October 2006 by kristarella

I spent the last couple of days redesigning my homepage. I thought I might actually use the site and put some things on there, albeit gradually. I wanted to figure out how to do those spiffy sliding menus at the top which I did and I learnt that the order of CSS matters! a:visited overwrites […]

XGL is this totally sweet program for X desktops (like Gnome, which is used in Ubuntu and KDE, which is used in […]

Ugh, eyes

27 September 2006 by kristarella

Whenever someone asks me what I do and I tell them that I’m taking a break from uni this semester and working three days a week I always feel like they’re judging me. Sometimes they say “That’s it?” Like they think I’m lazy. Hello! I’m taking a break from uni. That sort of means that […]

Imported my mail

11 September 2006 by kristarella

I was searching the MozillaZine support forums for a way to import files into Thunderbird straight from their folders rather than from a program since I no longer have the files in the program. I used MozBackup to back them up but the software doesn’t run on Linux 🙁 After no luck at the forum […]

By “sweet” I mean “totally cool”!

9 September 2006 by kristarella

The power supply on my computer was the cause of everything going south for the (end of) winter. I now have a working PSU and Kubuntu is sweet! I love learning new things, I feel very computer nerdy. :nerd: I finally have a colour scheme that I can cope with, the original blue was far […]

8 September 2006 by kristarella

Weyheyhey kids! I transferred all my files off my computer, uninstalled Windows and installed Kubuntu, a GNU/Linux operating system. Well, that’s how I started this post yesterday but I didn’t get a chance to finish it. Yesterday I was reading some of the Kubuntu documentation and I’m looking forward to getting into. Alas, that won’t […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
