Small successes

25 September 2008 by kristarella

There was one sentence in particular that made me not only think “that is so true!”, but […]

Life through my phone

14 September 2008 by kristarella

Life has been pretty crazy lately. Uni is busy and I’ve been trying to be a better friend/family member too. I’ve been doing a bit of CSS (restyling Thesis) for some mental escape and I’ve started writing a couple of posts, but haven’t finished and polished them yet. So, this is a bit of an […]

Kodak Retinette 1A: going retro

2 September 2008 by kristarella

For the $50 film camera project, I picked up my “new” Kodak Retinette 1A on Ebay for $19.99 + $12 postage (that’s Australian dollars, so even less in USD). The project was almost immediately fun! It’s always a bit of a rush to win on Ebay… if you’re like me and don’t bid too often, […]

Event of the day: car crash

24 August 2008 by kristarella

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
