9 July 2006 by kristarella

I might have mentioned COW Club but not what it actually is. COW stands for Churches of Wahroonga and the Club is a holiday kids club run in the June/July school holidays for kids in years K-6. This will be my tenth year running leading at this event where we tell kids about Jesus and […]

Message in a bottle

8 July 2006 by kristarella

Have you ever wanted to send a message in a bottle? I always have! The site Unsent Letters was brought to our attention by Tina . It is a similar idea, a letter that the addressed will not read (or extremely unlikely). I did write a letter intended to go in a bottle and floated […]

What a weekend!

8 July 2006 by kristarella

Friday was pretty cool. I slept in and then I drove up to my parent’s place. It’s about 80km away but it takes less than an hour. It was a good drive up and back, the sun was shining and the traffic was pretty light in the middle of the day. I retrieved many of […]

WTF?

6 July 2006 by kristarella

This really odd guy just came in wanting a test tube to mix stuff. So I gave him an eppendorf tube but he wanted a glass one. How’s this for defying a stereotype, we don’t have glass test tubes! He wandered off somewhere else to get one. It was sooo weird, it’s not really okay […]

Slooooow…

5 July 2006 by kristarella

The internet at work is mega slow! Sometimes it’s okay but a lot of the time it is snail-like or doesn’t work at all. I don’t know how I feel about it. It’s annoying but who’s fault is it? The techs for letting the net go kerplooie all the time? The hospital for being stingy […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
