My life & thoughts

Yay God, yay doctors!

5 December 2006 by kristarella

My friends’ baby, who was born with TGA, is now home! His parents were able to take him home yesterday, one month after he was born and less than a week after having a pacemaker placed inside him. His first surgery to correct the position of his arteries and patch the holes in his heart […]

Lights

4 December 2006 by kristarella

I was going to say how excited I was about adding what I hope looks like Christmas lights to my blog. ‘Tis the season! My excitement was kind of hampered by the comment I got on this post. I appreciate getting the comment and I’m surprised I didn’t get one like it sooner. I guess […]

Woopsies

3 December 2006 by kristarella

I failed at my goal to avoid the shops at all costs on the weekends before Christmas. I had to pop in for some supper for church tonight. Thankfully it didn’t take me too long to find a park this time and I wasn’t in a great hurry, just anxious to not be there. I […]

Partae

3 December 2006 by kristarella

Last night was pretty sweet. We went to the 21st at Hornsby Bowls at about 4:20pm. It had started raining right on 4 o’clock, when the party was supposed to start, but it cleared up and we were allowed to bowl. It was good fun. I wasn’t as bad as I thought I would be. […]

2 December 2006 by kristarella

Okay, so maybe “truly disgusting” is an exaggeration but it wasn’t pleasant. I just popped out to the shops to pick up my dress for tonight from the dry cleaners and get some pastries for brunch (which is now heading into lunch time). I was wearing jeans thinking that 25 degrees is warm but I […]

1 December 2006 by kristarella

There’s a haze over Sydney this morning with the smell of bushfires in the air. There have been several forecasts for today reporting high temps of 30-35 degrees. Thankfully it wasn’t nearly that warm on my way into work today. Dinner last night was good. Thanks for your well wishes. We shared a margarita pizza, […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
