Some days

6 June 2007 by kristarella

Some days are just good and some days aren’t even if you had every intention of making them great. Saturday was good for me. I got to sleep in a little bit and I managed to clean the bathroom, do some dishes, two loads of laundry and a little bit of uni work all by […]

Word up

5 June 2007 by kristarella

Just reading through some of the headlines recently. I generally don’t pay much attention to news, a mixture of not listening to the radio, not watching free-to-air TV and being too slow a reader to want to buy a paper. Some random things that caught my attention though: Watson’s DNA sequenced: It’s pretty impressive that […]

Jumping through hoops

1 June 2007 by kristarella

I met with Mike on Wednesday to see if he’d let me do the lab project next semester. He was somewhat reluctant since I have a 73.75 average in BABS course, not the required 75. He said to go ahead and find a supervisor and he would wait to make a decision until he’d talked […]

31 May 2007 by kristarella

Once again I find myself not having posted for a while. Things are really busy. I have an exam tomorrow, a presentation and two reports due next week, then final exams. I really need to do well in all these things so that I can do the lab project that I want to do next […]

I really want this course!

25 May 2007 by kristarella

After class today I was outside with my friend Julian. He stopped Mike, one of the coordinators in our school, to inform him that he had an appointment to see him on Wednesday, 10:15am to talk about doing the Biochem Lab Project as a subject next semester. Coincidentally I have an appointment at 10:30am that […]

Bubbles?

24 May 2007 by kristarella

Since a couple of the guys left the library lawn coffee cart for larger ventures the same attention to detail isn’t there. They don’t make the effort to remember you and your drink. Which is why it was nice this evening when I wandered into the bottle-O on the way home for a bottle of […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
