Bitterly disappointed

26 August 2006 by kristarella

I walked into JB Hifi this afternoon and said “Hi, I would like to buy the Canon 350D.” They said “We’re out. We had one and we’re just selling it now.” My face sunk like the Titanic, my spirit deflated like a holey beach ball. They called the city store but they must have been […]

Entries for the self portrait competition close midnight on Sunday. Alas we are all in different timezones so if an entry is within a few hours it’ll probably get accepted. Keep in mind that a few hours after midnight for America is a lot of hours after midnight in Australia. Thanks for all the entries! […]

Thursday Thirteen #25

24 August 2006 by kristarella

Thirteen things I find useful when web designing (or trying to design) 1. Well Styled Colour Scheme Generator – this tool quickly creates colour schemes and provides you with the hexadecimal codes to use. You can have monotone schemes (i.e. shades of one colour), contrasting schemes, you can lighten and darken and have pastel schemes. […]

23 August 2006 by kristarella

I saw The Lake House last night. At church recently we’ve been having “Winter Training“. The Women’s One to One Ministry training that I was attending finished a week early so Nat and I decided to hang out while our boys went to the 4 Key Centuries/4 Key Doctrines one, otherwise known as 4-4 Hardcore […]

Grrr (argh)

22 August 2006 by kristarella

I’m so annoyed at this stupid computer!!! Firefox has crashed twice today and it keeps corrupting my excel files. Previously they’ve been genotyping ones that I can redo because I’ve always recently emailed them to other people and it’s not too hard to update them but now my inventory file is corrupt. Yes, that’s right, […]

22 August 2006 by kristarella

We have Vega playing on the radio at work today! Sometimes someone puts on their weird stations, many of which have far too much talking. This one has good music and not much talking at all. Hubby claims that it’s aimed at middle aged women but I don’t care. Those women must have good taste! […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
