7 things

12 November 2007 by kristarella

I haven’t done this in ages! So for that reason and more, I will – I was tagged by MusEditions to do this 7-random-facts-about-me meme.

The idea is that you:

  • Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
  • Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.
  • Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
  • Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

7 random things about me

  1. The thing that people usually find most bizarre/scary is that I got married when I was 18.
  2. I always try to have the same coloured pegs holding up one piece of washing.
  3. I don’t have any real desire to do one job in particular. I would love to do a variety of jobs/projects.
  4. I’m a mac convert – I used to hate them. I think it was my father’s influence and that I’d never properly used one.
  5. I seem to think that I like video games, but the truth is that I have a short attention span. My favourite games are the really quick ones, e.g. Tetris, Pac-Man, Wii Sports. I can’t seem to get into the story-line of RPGs.
  6. Sometimes I think I really like movies that I can’t stand watching. Gladiator is one of those movies; I remember all the good bits and some of the weird bits, but I forget that it’s so very long!
  7. I can be really stingy. I never want to spend money on things like socks, undies, shoes, jeans – all things I like, but wish I didn’t have to spend my money on!

Well, that’s seven! I’m not going to tag seven people because I’m don’t feel like it! If you want to do this for any reason – it looks like fun, you don’t know what else to blog about – let me know.
Cheers MusEditions for the tag. 😀

Thanks so much for indulging me, kristarella. These things are insightful.
#1 – That is a little scary, but you’re happy, so it’s all good!
#2 – Seems you like order and symmetry?
#5 – That is interesting! I’m just the opposite. If it’s over too soon I feel cheated.
#7 – Wouldn’t have pegged you that way. Now I have a notion of you not having enough “decent” underwear–but I’m sure that’s not true 🙂

I think I like things to be aesthetically pleasing. If you’re only working with 2 things, pegs, then symmetry is the way to go. Otherwise I like things in threes or fives.

Ehem, I hadn’t really thought about #7 that way – although it might have been true if I hadn’t have bought some last week…

I can relate to #2 a lot. I like having pegs in pairs as well and it’s really just a habit, but it’s useful when I’m putting them away; it helps to make sure I haven’t dropped any, I just look for a missing colour.

And #6, Gladiator was way too long. I’ve always found it funny that there’s a DVD version with another 20 minutes – and a 200 minute documentary! Didn’t we suffer enough? 🙂 I feel like that with Titanic as well, something I remember but I just can’t watch again and again.

Oh, I just noticed your theme, btw; it’s stunning! Almost looks like a Drupal theme first time you see it.

Yes, I never could bring myself to watch any extra features for Gladiator!

Thanks. 😀 I haven’t had much experience with Drupal, I’ve never seen a site and thought, “this is a drupal site”. So I’ll just take the word “stunning” and go with that. 😛

OMG! I like to have the same coloured pegs holding a piece of washing too! And if possible, I hang my clothes using hangers that are of the same colour — different shade is OK 🙂
