Buffy humour

4 April 2008 by kristarella

I watched a bit of Buffy season 2 over lunch and dinner yesterday.

I used to have season 2 recorded on VHS from a Fox8 marathon. I have the DVDs now, but hadn’t watched them before.

Buffy had just killed Angel, run away, her friends were wondering where she was and the credits rolled. Then…

Instead of “Grrr Argh” it said “I need a hug”!

Hahaha! I’ve never actually watched Buffy. The movie looked pretty silly.

This is the same company that did Firefly, too (I believe it’s Joss’s production co.) Have you ever watched Firefly? The movie Serenity was the conclusion of the series. The series lasted not even a whole season, unfortuantely. Great show.

Yeah, the movie was fairly silly, the show is a lot better. A lot more character depth, vampires can’t float in the air and things like that.

Yep, good ol’e Joss Whedon. I really liked Firefly and Serenity. Was rather disappointed that the series ended, glad they brought out the movie to bring a bit of closure.

There was a period of time when I loved Buffy. It was a surprise because I didn’t expect to like the show at all. My interest waned as the seasons went on though. I can’t remember specifics:(

I can understand that Janet. Although I didn’t really lose interest, I can see how one would. There were times in season four when things get quite whiny. Angel left. A lot of people weren’t down with the Buffy-Spike story line in season six…

I loved the end though. As far as ending a seven season show goes, I think they did a good job.

This is so weird – i just finished re-watching season 2 last week… How bizarre, I thought I was the only nut and apparently half way across the planet (I live in Israel) someone else was doing the same thing 🙂

Ha! That’s cool! Do you have a favourite season?

I think the 1st one is still my favorite… Everything gets complicated after that 🙂

I believe at the end of the musical episode, the paper monster sings the “grrr argh”….

Oh yeah! I remember that now. I guess it didn’t seem unusual to me at the time because of all the orchestral music. 😛

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
