Thursday Thirteen #45

1 March 2007 by kristarella

Thirteen things about my week.

1. First week back at uni. It’s felt really busy with uni and work.

2. I was going to visit Mel, Rich and baby tomorrow but it turns out that the only laboratory class I have this week is tomorrow morning 😥

3. I haven’t been supermarket shopping yet because I was too tired after uni on Monday. I think I’ll still do the shopping on Mondays but at the moment we are lacking in food.

4. Due to above point I bought an apple for $1 at the Central Station fruit stand. It was rotten inside.

5. This morning my boss forgot about an inspection of one of our work rooms and wasn’t here. The people were annoyed, it was all they could do to not take it out on me.

6. I’ve started the semester typing out my lecture notes, which means that I review them and know what’s going on. I hope I can get up to date, stay up to date and keep knowing what’s going on.

7. Already I didn’t know that there was a lab tomorrow and there’s a quiz in the lab. The quiz is assumed knowledge so I should know it, especially since I’ve done every pre-requisite and related course. There are questions in the course manual that one can review. I hope I’m not too tired to review them tonight.

8. In my graphics course there are people that are taking their time completing the tasks, I hope it’s not an indicator of the rest of the term. The groups changed today (perhaps not enough people to fill the previous groups) so I’m now in orange (I was in blackberry) and I’m with a girl who seems to be on the ball.

9. It’s 3pm and I haven’t eaten lunch yet… in fact I’m going to stop writing and go do that.

10. I saw my cousin in Hornsby today. It was strange because she lives really far away. We don’t know each other very well and she didn’t see me and I was so surprised to see her that we just walked past each other and didn’t say hello.

11. Hubby bought me my anniversary gift 😀 better late than never! It’s a big, bright, chenille cushion (100% cotton for our cotton anniversary). I really like it because I love to snuggle on the couch and if he’s not there now I can snuggle with my cushion.

12. Hubby also bought a Nintendo Wii yesterday. It’s pretty sweet. We went through and played all the Wii Play games. He won most or all of them but that’s okay because he’s spent a lot more time playing than I have. We played a bit of Wii Sports; apart from the bowling those games are quite hard. I got a fitness age of 80 years old 🙁 then it went down to 77, not sure why. You can only take the fitness test once a day so I’ll be looking to get a bit younger tonight.

13. I’ve been watching the Trop Fest finalist movies. Some of them are really cool. Of the ones that won I haven’t seen The Von yet, I liked the other two though. I also really liked Fore, Mere Oblivion and Real Thing. Although I didn’t really understand Fore or Real Thing but I think they were supposed to be a bit mysterious.

I am impressed that you’re at number 45 for TT. I’m at week 4. Sounds like you had a busy week. Going back to school always takes a period of adjustment . . .

I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
