Painful

27 March 2007 by kristarella

This morning was painful. I mucked up my knee at karate last night, so that literally hurts. Mentally, the rest of the morning hurt. I re-did an assay that I’d done the wrong dilutions for. Having done that I was able to make a standard curve and realised that the rest of our results were no good because they hadn’t been diluted enough (upon recommendation of the demonstrators). So I did those ones again and now have the results all calculated. I was doing that with another guy and the rest of the group was doing a different assay and we didn’t have time to do an SDS-PAGE so we have to go back out of class time (or in the time of another class) to do it. 🙁

Reading blogs and chatting to friends I have realised that more people than not are excessively busy. I don’t find it exhilarating to be on the go all the time and doing more than one thing at a time. It’s just tiring. I know others feel the same way. I wonder why we have gotten to this point, where it’s a society norm to be busy and exhausted.

I may be busy but I always have time for the important things… like friends, family and keeping up to date with your posts 😛

There does seem to be a busyness epidemic in the blogosphere these days… I like to be busy, but like you, I feel like lately there aren’t enough hours in the day and I’m exhausted most of the time…
