Okay, so maybe “truly disgusting” is an exaggeration but it wasn’t pleasant.
I just popped out to the shops to pick up my dress for tonight from the dry cleaners and get some pastries for brunch (which is now heading into lunch time). I was wearing jeans thinking that 25 degrees is warm but I could cope. Ugh! I was wrong. It’s not just 25 degrees out there, it’s got to be about 80% humidity at least. Just looked it up, apparently 79% humidity in the city, we’re a bit inland from there. So the air is just thick and hot with no breeze and jeans+sweat=seriously gross.
The parking lot in the supermarket was a nightmare. Everyone must be starting Christmas shopping and such. I think I’ll start on Monday and avoid the shops on weekends at all costs. I ended up parking in a non-spot, big enough for a car but supposed to be an extension of the pedestrian crossing. I was in and out of the shops in 2 minutes.
I was freaking out because Mum was stopping by and I was cutting it very fine. I called hubby to make sure he was appropriately dressed to answer the door but Mum had called and was running late so she doesn’t have time to stop by. So then it was not too rushed stopping for pastries. I also bought a small pecan tart. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like, I wonder if it’s like pecan pie – hope so!
The rest of the day shall be more relaxed I suspect.
I’ve not only fixed the comments on my photoblog but installed Akismet and added more options to view the archives. I’m also going to add a random image button, just for run.
