Weirdness

16 August 2006 by kristarella

Is chili seriously spelt like that? I thought it was spelt c-h-i-l-l-i, chilli. I did a minute ago, now I’m not so sure. The spell checker says it only has one L.

It seems like every party I go to where I drink something from a twist top bottle I cut my fingers. If I try to open a beer or a Vodka Cruiser or anything with one of those kind of metal twist tops with my bare hand I cut my fingers along the edge of the cap. At Amy’s party I did this and I didn’t even notice until I my beer was open, I’d had some of it and continued to chat to friends, then I looked down and my hand was all bloody. Weird? Maybe a bit yuck.

Hubby told me last night after I asked him what he wanted for his birthday that he’s already got my Christmas present. I don’t know if it’s bought or if it’s something you sign up for or what. Apparently “the opportunity arose” for this thing but it wasn’t near my birthday or Christmas so he took the opportunity and is waiting until Christmas. I thought I was organised, thinking about his birthday nearly two months in advance!

oh er! I always thought it was chilli too but my spell checker also says it should be chili. Had a look on dictionary.com though and both are listed.

    Strangeness indeed.
