Finally done…

7 August 2006 by kristarella

Finally the weekend is over! It was great but tiring and busy!

I accomplished pretty much everything on my Thursday Thirteen list. Like I said, Amy’s 21st was excellent. I didn’t finish the movie I was making until after the party started. We were late because we were finishing it off. The program I downloaded, Camtasia, did a great job making screen recordings but when I made the movie in the program and exported it it was terrible. So I started doing it in Windows Movie Maker, which is less functional than Camtasia and it seemed to interpret transition timings differently. So then we did it on hubby’s MacBook. iMovie is great! It’s not quite as functional as Camtasia but more so than Windows Movie Maker and it exports the movie properly! We used iDVD to make the DVD which is really cool because you can add a menu with a pretty theme and you can export your iMovie project directly into iDVD. Apple is great! I love it. I’m glad we have both, my PC and hubby’s MacBook Pro.

Mum’s birthday lunch was good. I’m so dumb, I forgot to take the present with me!!! I couldn’t believe it, we were over half way to the restaurant an I realised I hadn’t brought it. I hope I can give it to her soon.

I got my hair cut on Thursday. It was excellent! I love Sanctuary ! They washed my hair and I had the massage chair on, they massaged my head and called me nice names then I didn’t know exactly what I wanted so I told the girl what I usually ask for and she proposed something a bit different. I loved it except the front because she hadn’t really done anything with the front because it’s my fringe growing out. So I got her to cut me a side fringe and the look was complete. hair cut I had a cappuccino while she was cutting my hair and they gave me a Ferrero Rocher with it. My favourite chocolate! We had a nice chat and then I went to buy presents for Mum and Amy and I bought a new shirt.

Did my nails and my toenails, my nails are all chipped now though 🙁

I did hang out with hubby but I didn’t meet up with Loz, I plan on talking about that in another post soon.

The wedding was good. I was surprised at the catholic priest. I thought he would be all royal looking in robes and colourful sashes but apparently he’s “Franciscan” and they are humble and poverty and so on. He was wearing white and brown robes and sandals! The bride, Corrinne, had a huge white dress with sparkly patterns on it, I’m not sure if they were beads or painted on and the train was probably 1.5-2m long. The bride cried quite a lot actually. Her dad cried as well, he was up to do some reading and he had to stop to regain his composure. The reception was lovely, in a reserve parkland type place in the function centre there. It was heated inside, thank goodness! The food was lovely and there was some of the funny traditions that are kind of pretty but I don’t understand, lighting candles, pouring champagne into goblets with dry ice in them so that it makes some pretty smoke but you can’t actually drink it. I hope they had a great time.

Last night we went to my father-in-law’s for dinner. It was good. It also means that we saw pretty much our whole family, both sides, this weekend.

I have finally visited all the Thursday Thirteeners that visited me.

I have finally watched a JAG episode that hubby watched without me.

I fixed my CD/DVD drive in my computer, it was spinning the disk but the computer wouldn’t read it. I opened up my computer and it turns out that when hubby put more RAM in my computer he might have knocked the cable and the drive wasn’t plugged in properly. I’m the troubleshooting queen! :nerd:

I won the cybermen game at the Dr Who site. This is a seriously good website, it has wallpapers and sound clips and episode commentaries and a game that is quite a bit longer than I expected it to be. I love Dr Who!
