Title reference to hilarious cartoon End of the World
I wrote a post a short while ago titled Our World is Dying. It’s true!
Around 40 people in France, mostly elderly, have died in a heatwave over the past week and Czech energy grid operator CEPS announced a state of emergency on Tuesday after its power network was overloaded… The heatwave has boosted power demand across Europe as consumers turn up their air conditioners.
Meanwhile it’s raining heaps down here, I’d be willing to bet, without any authority except for the fact I live here, that we’ve gotten more rain in the last few weeks or the last month than we have in the previous year. We really need an effective storm water collection and purification. Alas it’s all just going to run away… kudos to those that have their own rainwater tanks.
