What is the go?

9 May 2006 by kristarella

Okay, my computer is being damn annoying! Firefox won’t match my Windows theme anymore so it has a butt ugly title bar that sometimes isn’t there at all. Secondly, the sound doesn’t work. Sometimes it does, at the times when I’m going to be using the computer for five minutes and I don’t care if the sound works. If I’m going to be here for a while I think “some music might be nice” but no, the gorram sound won’t work!

On other news I was reading Luin’s blog and this post led me to some other posts by other people. It’s a lot of bitching and trolling and I was both amused and dumb founded at the same time.

In genetics today we fingerprinted ourselves to count the ridges. It wasn’t as painful as it sounds. It was sort of interesting and apparently fingerprints are strongly genetic. I asked if monozygotic twins have identical fingerprints and he said that they probably aren’t exactly the same but they’d be extremely similar and sometimes identical twins are more like mirror images than carbon copies (except for their organs inside I’m expecting!).

Monozygotic is the technical term used for basically…Identical Twins. There is a proper and accurate definition at
    http://dictionary.reference.co.....onozygotic

Hopefully the link will work. If not, just highlight the http:// to the monozygotic and then paste it into your address bar.

    Cheers Prof!

I mentioned identical twins later in the piece so I hoped people would connect the dots that monozygotic is what identical twins are. For those who didn’t connect the dots, you learn something new every day!
