Blog Olympics Party!

1 March 2006 by kristarella

It’s the second event for the Blog Olympics Training Camp and we all know that an extremely large part of the Blog Olympics (and its training) is to have as many parties as possible just to discourage the Olympians from getting enough sleep before the big events.

Welcome to my party! It’s a little sudden I know and I didn’t have a lot of time to decorate. Luckily it’s usually fairly tidy around here. Possibly the most famous person here this evening is Jedi Master Yoda he unfortunately had to wear his disguise this evening because Kenobi insisted on coming. He peeked out for a moment just so I’d know he was here though, even if no one else did.

I’m hoping that Mags will have time to stop by before her big trip to Disney World. I’m not sure how much she has to pack, and I know that she likes having her hair done and would have liked to do that before attending this fabulous party.

Owl unfortunately couldn’t make it because he’s been so busy at work that I told him any extra time must be spent with his girly because if she’s anything like me (and she’s potentially not) she’d like to spend a bit more time with her man.

Our local hero Genuine couldn’t make it because his kids have the Chicken Pox and the flu and Genuine has probably caught their gastro bug. Also, I think one of them got knocked out by a football… or possibly his apple juice.

Chatty couldn’t come because she tripped over one of her dogs toys and twisted her ankle. The poor doll! The doctor told her to stay in bed – I hope her husband is waiting on her hand and foot… get it? Foot… ankle… hmmm… yeah.

Anita said she’d bring her whole bookclub though so maybe it won’t be as quiet around here as it was starting to sound. I must say however, the noise Kenobi is making makes up for everyone I think.

Lets party like it’s 1999! My hubby always says that so it must have been a good year for partying!

I am not only early, I am not on your blogroll (lol). Hope it is ok if I come in and look around (1st time here). I am playing guest and not hostess this time at the blog olympics 🙂 I brought a bottle of chilled champagne for the party. Should I place it in the fridge?

PS I enjoyed the Olympics you hosted in Sydney in 2000. We stayed with friends in Collaroy Plateau. Great city, Sydney!

Woo Hoo….where is everybody! It was a long trip over here….just to crash a party. I did bring my absolutely fabulous onion and spinich dip. I slipped it in the refrig right next to Mar’s champagne. What’s that tall godzilla guy doing here? Excuse me while I go cozy up to Yoda….he’s so cute I may just have to take him home with me. Great party kristarella…hey, I knew your sister Cindy!

It’s all good – everyone is welcome! I don’t think I have a traditinal “Blogroll” as such because there’s no official getting on there, I just update it when I update it.

Mar – there’s ice in the laundry for drinks and rasberried in the freezer if you feel like popping them in your champagne!

Scouser, when I step out for more ice I’ll stop by for a dance!

    Thanks for coming Lyn.

Oooh, I love spinach dip! I’m sure Yoda will appreciate the attention!

Here I am – – entire book club in tow.

Unfortunately, they are a rather quiet, bookish group . . .

I’ll have to party hard enough for all of them!
