Make up your mind!

30 January 2006 by kristarella

There have been three “private” calls to our home today, none of which left a message and two of which I was actually here for. The first call I was out, it would have gone through to message bank. The second call rang for two rings and I was waiting until after the third ring when Caller ID shows up but they were gone. Then the third call I picked up, “Hello, kristarella speaking.” And they hung up! How rude! That just peeves me – do you want to call or not? Make up your mind.

I’m guessing someone has a number they think is somebody else’s but it’s actually yours, yet that doesn’t stop them from trying.

That may be true, although anyone can answer anyone else’s phone. Maybe I had a friend staying with me and she answered the phone with her name so they knew it wasn’t “the lady of the house” bit rude to hang up eh? Perhaps they really want to speak to my hubby and don’t like me…

Well…Kristarella, I may be being stupid when I do this, but when I answer the phone and there is no-one talking on the other end, or there is a constant fuzz on the line, then I will say hello a couple of times, then I will hang up.

If I hang up, I will look out the windows, but there has been nothing. But…im sure im just being suspicious…anyway

We get this a lot. Someone local must have a very similar number, because we are constantly getting people asking for Sarah.

One time I got fed up, and when some bloke asked for Sarah, I told him I wasn’t going to let him talk to her, and I would do all in my power to prevent him from ever speaking to her again. He wasn’t to know there was nothing within my power I could do. 🙂

(yes that was a bit bad of me)

But I think she gives out our number to ugly blokes that she doesn’t want to talk to ever again, so I’m doing her a favour, really. 🙂

    Owl.
