Nice end to a poopy day

2 March 2006 by kristarella

I just had a meeting for Fully SIC – the school years 6-8 youth group I lead at at church. I thought this might be a less great part of the day but actually it went really well. It was quite productive and encouraging. It was a really pleasant atmosphere and I didn’t end up […]

What the heck?

15 February 2006 by kristarella

This article was in the Sydney Morning Herald today. People flocked to be blessed by a calf that was born with folds in its skin saying “There is no God but Allah”; this calf is supposedly God’s response to some blasphemous cartoons. This article reminded me of a time in fourth grade at primary school […]

What women need

15 February 2006 by kristarella

I finished the book What Women Really WantNeed. It was good. It had a totally excellent quote from a book called Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, which I also want to read. A man who was merely a man and said the sorts of things that Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. […]

What lots of people really need

I’m reading a book at the moment called What Women Really WantNeed. It’s really good and addresses issues not just for women but things that we all encounter by living in the world. It has some really amazing stories by people who came to trust in Jesus to bring them back into a relationship with […]

28 January 2006 by kristarella

Full of visions given to Ezekial by God about the judgement of Israel. Then after Jerusalem was destroyed God said he would […]

Waves and Wind

24 December 2005 by kristarella

Yesterday we got back from leading on Sailing camp, officially named Waves and Wind. It pretty much involves looking after ~50 10–12-year-olds; doing activities like sailing, games, putt putt golfing, bible studies and singing. I am pretty tired. I just slept from about 5pm last night to 7:30am this morning. The last night of camp […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
