Gold!

20 June 2006 by kristarella

I’ve been waiting until I could accompany this post with a very unflattering picture to say: I got a gold medal at the karate tournament on Sunday! I got it for kata, I did Saifa, which is my grade kata. I came fourth in kumite (sparring). It was exciting to watch others do their stuff […]

What’s the go?

20 June 2006 by kristarella

I don’t know what is wrong but today is being very weird. I was feeling sick this morning so I went back to bed for a while. I got into work at 1030 – coffee time, I had peppermint tea which my tummy liked. The day has been going sooo slowly! It never goes this […]

Hilarious!

19 June 2006 by kristarella

Last night at church the sermon was on Colossians 3:18-4:1. So there was a lot of talk about marriage, wives submitting, husbands loving and humorous things were said. For example, to men, “there’s no need to be a macho nong”, and about a man really caring for a woman, “does he suggest you pray together […]

Pleasantries

17 June 2006 by kristarella

So hopefully I have more happy things to say now. I went for a walk earlier when I didn’t feel like being inside… I think I said I was going to lie down and didn’t want to tidy but actually I did the dishes and tidied the kitchen and then I went out for a […]

Hmph

17 June 2006 by kristarella

Well, last night was interesting. I did my exam. It was okay I think. I can never really tell with those over specific multiple choice things. Then there were short answer questions, I hope I gave enough detail. I got to Fully SIC and I set up my guitar then as I was walking out […]

Mornings…

15 June 2006 by kristarella

Ugh, what a crap morning. It was soo hard to get out of bed. Hubby had the radio alarm on but it doesn’t inspire anyone to get out of bed. I hate the radio in the morning! It’s not loud enough to make me get up but it’s enough to interupt my sleep, sometimes. I […]

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
