Andy Warhol’s Marilyns

6 July 2007 by kristarella

andy warhol style marylin monroe

Since doing art in high school I’ve had an admiration for different types of art and artists, including Andy Warhol. He’s regarded as a key figure in the Pop Art movement, but really he’s a key figure in art itself and almost a style unto himself.

I found this cool page, Web Exhibits, which has some information about his Marilyn Monroe artworks. Their creation and colour usage. It also has a sweet little app in which you can change the colours on the marilyn. It’s good fun!
