Disaster

23 May 2007 by kristarella

I have had horrible luck today. This morning I forgot my phone, my iPod and I forgot to take meat out of the freezer for dinner, again. I consciously took my lab book out of my bag thinking I would only need the lab manual. I forgot that my book had a photo of a gel that I needed to put in my results for the report that was due today. Then when I sat down to write the rest of the report I didn’t have the questions for the discussion and they weren’t posted on the net. So I forsook work and came home. When I got here I got my book out and realised that actually I had the discussion questions with me, in my bag, in a pile of papers I’ve been tying to read. So I only really came home for the gel pic, which I had made a dodgy photograph of using someone else’s report and the iSight camera on my computer. It would have been sufficient. Then, just when I was nearly finished – NeoOffice crashed. I thought I had saved once since I’d been working on it, that must have been while I was on the train because the last hour of work was gone. It really brightens my mood that the printer is crap as well, it’s flashing a light, not printing and not telling me what’s wrong.

The report is done now. I’m not much happier since the whole day was a bit of a disaster. I might have thought hubby would be home by now. I guess it’s okay that he’s not because I’m grumpy and that’s not nice. I think a nice cup of tea is in order.
