Thursday Night: Ugh, I stayed late at work today and missed a lecture. The lecture was at 5, I stayed ’til 6:30, well a bit later actually. The next bus after 6:30 was 7:10, the next train when I got to the station was 7:45. I sat on the platform for 20 minutes until they announced (at the time the train was supposed to leave) that the train was departing from a different platform. It’s now late, possibly because they’re waiting for the people to walk over from the other platform, or maybe just because they’re incapable of doing anything properly. The trains haven’t been consistently on time since the 2000 Olympics. I suppose they wanted to show the world that Sydney is a great city with good transport and facilities. It is a good city but the transport bites!
Friday Afternoon: Ah, I love Microbial Genetics, I think it’s the best class I’ve ever been a part of.
I had Chicken Penang Laksa for lunch. I’d never had laksa before, it was yum. 🙂
It’s a tad less quiet now that Alex has started at work, not that she’s loud or anything but it’s nice to have another human presence in the place.
I got about five emails today! I haven’t ogtten so many emails since hubby and I were dating and we emailed each other all day (can you tell my inbox has been feeling rejected?).
