Easier the second time

5 March 2007 by kristarella

Wwwwwell, it’s been a successful day thus far. I got some sleep, although not very good sleep because it was too hot. I went to uni and enjoyed my lectures. I got some antihistamines that actually work (Claratyne sucks!). I did the supermarket shopping, although forgot mince beef and exercise books for lab. I went back but they didn’t have exercise books 🙁 I updated my blog with WP 2.1.2 because apparently 2.1.1 had a major security problem. Someone hacked the server and changed a file in the download, there’s a good chance I downloaded it before that happened because it took me so long to get around to uploading it, but I updated anyway. I figured after breaking my blog last time it had to be easier this time – it was.

Unfortunately I left my karate gi in the washer this morning so I have to wear my old one, which is less comfortable.

I also really need to email the second hand bookshop to see if they’ll buy back my text books, perhaps then I can buy a more advanced one that’s related to my courses. I probably could afford to buy one anyway but I’m feeling stingy because I feel uncertain about the future of my job.

I also got around to cashing in on a scratchie that someone gave us ($15!) and putting in a receipt with medicare. It was nice to have paid a bill upfront and go back to Medicare for some reimbursement rather than my usual tactic – don’t pay, get two reminder notices before taking the bill to Medicare and getting a cheque to mail with the difference to the biller.

I wonder if I can fit in Wii fitness before karate…

I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
