It’s easy to think poorly of stars that misbehave or do something that’s obviously stupid. I often forget that just as many regular people do the exact same things and that if we can’t control our own addictions or fits of anger or other idiocies then how can we expect people that are in the limelight to?
Keith Urban has a nice video on his site thanking his family, friends and fans to their support. I don’t know much about him, I wouldn’t be able to pick out his music, all I know is he’s a country musician and he’s married to Nicole Kidman. I thought it was nice to watch just to know that he takes himself seriously as a person and as a person recovering from an addiction. He’s not some hoighty toighty asshole that got addicted to drugs because he doesn’t care about anyone else and sent to rehab by his publicist. He got addicted because he’s only human and went to rehab because he does care about other people.
Also, if you’re in Sydney, near the city, on Australia Day then you should do this. I won’t be anywhere near the city so sadly I won’t be immortalised by Google.
