Tuesday Tattles

12 December 2006 by kristarella

I hate it when you ask a question in the nicest possible way and the answer you get is a wave of the hand.

It was quite hot yesterday, it made my muscles ache. At least I think that’s what that was why they hurt, a mixture of heat and shopping and karate. It’s cooled down heaps today and it’s raining. It’s actually one of my favourite features of summer, the way the extreme heat brings extreme rain. It’s less fun when it causes the trains to be late though. Add the late trains to the ones that were canceled because of “police operations” in Wyong and you’ve got yourself a pretty crap morning.

After morning tea things are looking up though. No more tail tips came in yesterday so I have a chance to finish testing all the other samples that I’ve been battling with. Fresh reagents makes a big difference too. If you’re ever trying to do scientific tests that aren’t working properly I suggest replacing your reagents because they might be getting a bit old or were left in the heat too long.

I installed Akismet on my photoblog, as I’ve mentioned before, it’s a lot better! I’m getting heaps of spam but it catches most of it and they don’t show up on my site, thank goodness! Most of them are really disgusting. Initially I was only getting medication adverts but now I get stuff about [things I started to write and then realised they might attract more unsavoury adverts here].

I’ve nearly finished Christmas shopping! I think I only have three more presents to buy. Oh, and some money to give someone because they want a leather jacket.

I really need new gi pants. I was at karate last night and I was continually pulling my pants up. They’re not long enough in the crutch, I guess I have a big bum or something.

I should get back to work. :sheepish:

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
