Thursday Thirteen #32

26 October 2006 by kristarella

I’ve been quite bad at reading blogs lately. I have so many on my RSS reader but I can only manage to keep up with a few. I’ve decided to pick just a few that I really want to read and delete the rest of the feeds. Then hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with the ones that are updated regularly. If I stumble (or restumble) across blogs that I really like I’ll have room to add them to my list with a possibility of actually reading them; as opposed to now when they all get lost in a pit of too-much-to-read.
If you leave me a comment let me know which blog you would choose if you could only read one for the next couple of months.

Thursday Thirteen
Thirteen blogs I’d like to keep reading.

1. The Foo Logs – I like it because it’s techy and personal. It’s a pretty new blog that I’ve been reading for several months so I don’t feel like I have to catch up on stuff – I’m caught up.

2. Ms Maggie Moo Talks 2 U – Mags is really genuine and open and funny. She was one of the first people to comment on my blog..8*

3. Just Listen – Owl was the first person to comment on my blog I like his blog.

4. Hazar For Everything – Edwin is my friend, he doesn’t post that often so it’s not difficult to keep up.

5. Something Besides Tax – Tim is also a friend who doesn’t post too often. Sometimes I don’t understand what he’s talking about, mainly in regard to copyright law, but he makes me want to learn more. BTW Tim, have you read The Future of Ideas? I think you’d be interested in it.

6. Recommended – techy and internet stuff, I like the internet and this blog has some pretty sweet recommendations.

7. Genuine – I haven’t read this one in a few weeks but I really like it.

8. Vicisstudes – Hezza is also my friend, reading her blog is a good way to keep up with what’s going on for her, alas I’ve fallen behind as of late.

9. The Place of Rant – another friend who doesn’t update that often, he’s a bit random, which is sometimes refreshing.

10. Daily Dose of Imagery – I really like photoblogs as well, this one was my favourite for a while, it may still be, I just haven’t had a chance to view regularly.

11. A Walk Through Durham Township, Pennsylvania – these photos are really excellent as well.

12. gosu – Images from Africa – these photos are also spectacular, there’s some really good post processing going on here.

13. There are others I’d like to keep reading but I leave number 13 open to say don’t be offended if you’re not on this list… so many blogs, so little time!

The Place of Rant for President! Wait, why am I voting? and President of what? Uh… does this have anything to do with a president at all.

Right, now that we have that out of the way (I’m not even sure what I was saying there or why). I haven’t seen most of the blogs you mention but I do like to sometimes look in at Ms Maggie Moo Talks 2 U. So after The Place of Rant that would be my vote – Ms Maggie Moo Talks 2 U for Vice-President!

Great list! The first one I had to check out was Durham County. I have a soft spot for photoblogs as well. Being from Pennsylvania as well makes it another good reason to stop.

I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
