Thirteen phobias A-M

1. Aibohphobia: Fear of palindromes.

2. Bibliophobia: Fear of books.

3. Chronophobia: Fear of time.

4. Dextrophobia: Fear of objects on the right side of the body.

5. Ergophobia: Fear of work.

6. Felinophobia: Fear of cats. (There’s about 6 different words for a fear of cats, must be because of those crazy Egyptians.)

7. Gallophobia: Fear of France or the French.

8. Hedonophobia: Fear of pleasure.

9. Hippophobia: Fear of horses.

10. Ideophobia: Fear of ideas.

11. Kyphophobia: Fear of stooping.

12. Linonophobia: Fear of string.

13. Metrophobia: Fear of poetry.

    Boy, would it stink to be afraid of ideas ~ I mean…wow. How do you even come to realize you are afraid of an idea? You would probably have to come up with the idea you were afraid of ideas, right? Gee…that would really stink.

    Ok, some of those names I wouldn’t have thought go with the description… like the fear of horses… I was sure it was fear of Hippos when I first started reading πŸ˜‰

      To be honest it didn’t take that long, I got them from one site but I went through a few sites before choosing one to decide on the most comprehensive and reliable looking one. So if any of them are wrong I apologise.

    I have a hard time with phobias because I refuse to walk through life afraid. Sometimes I wonder if it’s not just a question of controlling one’s thoughts.

    And a fear of books? I think I just had a heart attack. lol

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
