Yeah baby, yeah!

6 August 2006 by kristarella

Last night was totally awesome ! I’ll give a more thorough weekend report at some point. It’s not even over yet.

I just had to say though that Amy’s 21st birthday party rocked the house! It was sooo much fun. I loved  seeing people from school and meeting some of Amy’s newer people. I finally met her boyfriend Dan! He seemed very nice, we didn’t talk much but as soon as we met he gave me hug, Amy has told me about him and probably talked about me to him so finally we meet in person! The “speeches” were cool, her dad was really funny, her brother had made a DVD (like me!) with photos but his spanned her whole life so that was cool. Mine went down well as well, some of the photos got quite a good reaction, which I hadn’t anticipated because I’ve looked at them so many times they kinda lost their funny.

It even seemed like hubby had fun. He might have had actual fun or just been really upbeat because he knew it was important to me and he let me go talk to my friends and stuff. It was great anyway, he talked to people, some that we’ve led with at Crusader camps, one guy he tutors at USyd then he talked to some of my friends as well.

There were lots of choices of drink. I did what I always warn against, I mixed my drinks. I started the evening with beer and then later I went on to a vodka and chocolate thing and then some “champagne”. Didn’t throw up though so that was good. Wasn’t even drunk actually so that’s good too.

My head hurts quite a lot this morning xP. It’s been worse and I can cope but ugh, it’s not pleasant. Alas, we didn’t take the camera so I can’t share any photos but I’m going to hassle Amy to put them up on the net somewhere so we can download some.

I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
