Time

28 July 2006 by kristarella

Oh my! Where did the time go today?!

It took quite a while to check out all the blogs linked on my TT this morning. It was enjoyable though.

I went to the shops and I got a manicure! I had a voucher that Helen had given me for my birthday so I finally decided to go. I’ve been having issues with my cuticles but now that they’re all trimmed it should be okay. I like how they give you a hand massage with moisturiser. Now I have dark pink nails and they’re not chipped yet, yay!

I saw Erns, Glenj and Moods at JB Hifi where Glenj spent too much money on DVDs he just couldn’t resist and so did I really. I bought The Princess Bride, Toy Story and Toy Story 2. It was $40 all up so that’s okay although not my usual stingy level of bargains. I really wanted to get Dr Who, the first season of the new ones. I’ve seen the second season with David Tennant (so cool!) but now I want to see the ones before that. Alas, they’re too expensive for my tastes. At JB they were $28 for each volume (three episodes) and at the ABC Shop it was $100 for the whole season! Not cool.

Went to the supermarket, I didn’t have enough cash for my chai latte 🙁 but I was sooo hungry I had to get a bag of chips, it was finished by the time I got to the counter and the girl swiped the empty bag then threw it away (she asked of course).

A couple of people have had trouble with my anti-spam thing. I don’t know whether it’s the plug-in or if they got the answer wrong. Does anyone have a plug-in they’ve been using for a while that hasn’t let any spam through?

I use Spam Karma 2.2 which has been catching upwards of 500 spam comments a day. I installed it a few months ago and it has literally only let one spam comment through. I do think that the plugin you’re using was only a problem on the last comment because it somehow got inserted into the automatic links box you have on there. Hope you get it sorted!

about 50% of the time over the last week I couldn’t leave a comment and I definitely answered right – I’m no math whiz, but I do know 3 + 0…lol!

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
