Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen favourite Buffy episodes!
From seasons one, two and three.

1. 1.07 Angel – the one where Buffy and Angel first kiss and she finds out that he’s a vampire. It’s so cote at the end when they kiss and he gets burnt by her necklace but he doesn’t flinch.

2. 1.12 Prophecy Girl – first apocalypse averted! Also the first time B dies.

3. 2.01 When She Was Bad – Buffy is angry because she died so she “grinds her enemies into talcum powder”.

4. 2.05 Reptile Boy-very cool song in the dancing scene: Wolves by Shawn Clement, as well as a cool Angel scene when he goes all “grr”.

5. 2.09 and 2.10 What’s My Line – Kendra comes to town.

6. 2.13 Surprise – the Judge is assembled, Buffy and Angel “do it”.

7. 2.17 Passion – Angel is evil and messes with the Scoobies. He kills Miss Calendar.

8. 2.21 and 2.22 Becoming – Buffy has to kill Angel and runs away from home.

9. 3.04 Beauty and the Beasts – Angel is back and Oz is a werewolf.

10. 3.10 Amends – the First tries to kill Angel. Buffy and Angel walk in the snow.

11. 3.16 Dopplegangland – vampire Willow.

12. 3.18 Earshot – Buffy can hear thoughts and Angel takes out a demon’s heart to cure her.

13. 3.20 The Prom – Buffy gets her “class protector” award. Another amazing song while dancing, Wild Horses by The Sundays.

Watching an episode of Buffy or Angel is a good pick me up. Love the tongue in cheek dialogue.

I have the whole series on DVD or VHS so I’m watching them in the background of stuff this week. I do like Angel but I stopped watching it after the season with Cordy going into a coma. I hope to get them on DVD and watch them all.

Buffy was cool…the last episode I remember seeing was the Musical, ‘Once More With Feeling’. The last ep. of all I remember was where Xander gets his eye gouged by that prick of a priest…and umm…yeah. Angel was really cool too. The only episode I remember was with that water bug thingy that dehydrated people so much they died. It was wierd, but yeah.

I never did get into Buffy….though that Angel guy sure is a cutie!!!

Oh, yeah. I’d add 1.04 Teacher’s Pet (Xander and the She-Mantis), 2.11 Ted (Buffy’s mom dates a robot), 2.16 Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered (Xander and the love spell), and 3.06 Band Candy (Giles & Joyce!). I’m particularly fond of the ones that crack me up, obviously. πŸ™‚

Will you be doing seasons 4 – 7 next week?

Have you watched the whole series??

I think the last 3 years were the best. At first I loved Angel and was so upset that he left. But as the seasons went on I got tired if Buffy brooding over him. I wish she would have liked Spike better.

My all time favorite episodes were Hush and Once More With Feeling.

    My TT is up.

I LOVE Buffy!!! But you failed to mention the episode with “The Gentlemen” (my personal favourite_ or the chocolate episode with the “rough” Giles!!!

Tony Head & I used to be friends, once upon a time and he is so nothing like Giles!

    Stop by my TT!

  19. Becki says

I’ve never watched an episode, so you could’ve said anything, and I would be clueless.

    Thanks for visiting my TT.

You guys are right. I can’t believe I didn’t include Band Candy, that one was excellent.

I too love Once More With Feeling and Hush (the one with the Gentlemen). Luckily they are in seasons 6 and 4 respectively.

I probably will put later seasons next week. I wonder if I’ll get through four seasons in one go though!

Stephanie – yes I’ve watched them all, several times.

I will visit those TTs that I haven’t but possibly on Saturday – I have an exam today!

    Hello All,

Buffy is an all time favourite of mine. I was actually in the Once More With Feeling episode, but only for one shot, and I wasn’t credited…so, that was a bit of a bummer for me.

Being on the show, even for only one shot, you got the chance to meet everyone. Anthony Head is nothing like Giles, put the personalities neck-a-neck, and you would have 0% compatability. Sarah Michelle-Gellar is slightly like Buffy, but I won’t go into full detail…

Anyway, best ep of all time:

Once More With Feeling (prob coz i’m in it)
and the one with the Robot father.

    Rock On Peoples…

    That’s cool Matt!

Which scene were you in? I’m sure I’ll recognise the scene with a short description. I loved that episode, bought the soundtrack and have watched it several times.

  25. kristarella says

    27 June 2006 at 20:13

Everyone says how Anthony Head is not like Giles… what is he like?

  26. matt lucas says

    29 June 2006 at 10:02

    Kristarella,

I was in the scene with the construction site, where Sarah Michelle-Gellar has no trouble lifting the steel. I’m in the background opperations, so, pretending to do something in the background, but as I was only seen for a second when buffy was walking past, they didn’t credit me.

Anthony Head is very complex, but easy going. He isn’t as tight as he is in the shows, he likes to have a laugh, he IS English, and basically that is a sum up of Anthony Head.

    Rock on peoples
