Last night I had a mini breakdown which has taken its toll on me all day. What was this breakdown you might ask? Well it was just a whole bunch of tears and frustration and general feeling of hopelessness and depression. What was it triggered by? Well the stupid thing was that it was this blog. I opened it in IE and the sidebar didn’t work. It was hanging out at the bottom of the posts and I couldn’t figure out why. I was 100% sure that I had it working a week ago when I spent all that time on it. That was the clincher, the fact that I spent a day doing it and then it was wrong again. I found it difficult to get to sleep and I ended up getting about four hours I think. So I was pretty down today although the tiredness didn’t completely set in until now. Hubby suggested I should stop blogging and I’ve been thinking about it. I think I definitely should get less hung up on it. I need to chill out somehow. This was supposed to be my release, not my insanity. So that’s what it will be.
I fixed the IE stuff this afternoon, after some quick research at uni today I decided it must either be a floating problem or a margins/padding problem. It was a combination of the two I think. Anyway it’s better. Of course the dropdowns still don’t work in IE. If anyone is keen feel free to check out my source code and CSS and see if you know why they don’t work.
So no more obsession just keen interest.
Today it poured with rain! All day. It was the first time I’ve seen it like that in years. It was raining last night as well and I was thinking as I tried to go to sleep that I might have to wear a different pair of shoes because my everyday ones are very old and worn. I didn’t wear a different pair and I was only out of the house for five minutes before my socks were very wet inside those shoes. So a different pair tomorrow! Possibly a spare pair of socks wouldn’t go astray.
I had my french writing/listening exam today and the exam for Maniacs, Murderers and Medical Detectives. I think they both went quite well. I’m relieved that Monday is nearly over however I still need to write my second essay for Maniacs. I’ve nearly finished reading up on it but the tablet just needed to be plugged in and I’m pretty tired. Perhaps I will start it tonight and finish it tomorrow since I have a three hour break – no biochemistry lab tomorrow.
