Have I told you lately…

29 June 2006 by kristarella

That I love you?

Well of course I haven’t because I haven’t written anything here “lately” at all. I’ve been so busy with studying and examining and working and eating and sleeping that I’ve only really had time for karate and hubby and that’s it.

“Self pity is the cancer of the soul.” – John Dick-Smith
John Dick-Smith is one of the more senior members of our 6.30pm church service, probably the most senior actually. He’s real value for money. I haven’t seen John and his wife Moretta for a while, I should send them a note or something.
Anyway, what I’m wondering is do they have radiation therapy, or maybe chemotherapy for that stuff? Maybe one needs a more soulistic therapy? I had an attack of worry and self pity the other night. I was very sad and hubby told me to tell him what was wrong. So I started listing the things I was worried about and we’d talk about each and when I got tired of talking about that one I’d say “Ok, but that’s not what I’m really worried about.” Since I didn’t give him an outline he didn’t know how many things there were 😛 When we got to my health, which was my main concern for the day, I burst into tears. It was actually good, I just let it all go and had a good cry, accompanied with wheezing, squeaking breaths and everything. I don’t know if my hubby is the best ever because I don’t have any comparison, I’ve never been married before and don’t intend to be again, that is I don’t intend to get married to anyone else. Even if he’s not the best, he is very very excellent. He holds me when I cry and listens when I yammer. I felt and feel much better after that.

It was good having Recommended in the Spare Room this past week. T, I hope the rest of your Turkey trip is useful and interesting and enjoyable.
This week we have Melanie from Plaid Toaster. I hope to give more of an intro later when I’ve had more of a look around her blog.
Sorry to those that also bid. My browser at work keeps crashing so I lost your websites. Please bid again next week though!

It has been sooo cold! I overheard someone saying it’s been the coldest June in 25 years. That must be cold, especially since New Year’s Day was the hottest on record! We’ve got the two extremes going this year.

I put my Special Consideration in for missing the exam on Friday. I was really worried because the doc didn’t officially stamp it or give me an extra med certificate so I thought they wouldn’t accept it. It was fine to my great relief. I was also annoyed because I got to the Student Centre at 9:05am and they weren’t opening ’til 10. They open at 8:30 everyday except Wednesday! So I went back after work.

I came across a fantastic photoblog the other day. Actually the author/photographer commented on mine so I visited his. Wow! I love it, so many great photos, really good post processing. You should check out these fleeting moments.

I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
