Today

2 May 2006 by kristarella

Oh my. Today was tiring.

This morning I had a lecture then I had a biochemistry lab that was marked so we didn’t have the concentrations and everything before hand, we had to calculate everything there and then we couldn’t find out if we got it right we had to just hand it in. I was not worried before hand and the whole thing was pretty easy, my standard curve was awesome! It was so straight – ironically the standard curve is supposed to be a straight line. At the end I had a concentration that was plausible and a little higher than my standard but that was weird because the unknown looked alot more dilute than the standard. I handed it in but then I thought I should check it again and thank goodness I did! I was very wrong. I’d done the experiment correctly but when I got to the end my calculations were sort of like 0.083nmol/uL = 0.83umol/mL = 8.3mmol/L which is completely wrong! It should actually have calculated as 0.083nmol/uL = 0.083umol/mL = 0.083mmol/L see the difference? Well if you don’t it doesn’t really matter. No one ever knows what I’m talking about when I talk about science. It’s a bit lonely sometimes.

After that I had a French test. That was fairly easy, I should get pretty close to full marks. I like tests when I know what’s going on, it’s satisfying. After that test we hung out on the lawn. I thought everyone would go home early than they did, I didn’t get much time to look over my genetics notes for the test I had at 1500. That test was pretty average, I think I did fairly averagely. I wasn’t sure how much detail they wanted and some of the questions obviously hadn’t been properly read over because the grammar was poor. Heh, don’t judge me on that statement, I know sometimes my grammar is poor.

Tonight we have bible study. I’m really looking forward to it. I just wish this headache that I’ve had since 1030 would go away.

My photoblog is taking a really long time to load on my computer. I hope it doesn’t take too long for others. I try to reduce the photos to a reasonable size. It could just be my computer and internet being slow.
