Infant Logic

1 May 2006 by kristarella

album coverRichard Beeston’s latest album Infant Logic was released on the 27th March. I love this album! It plays regularly on my iPod and so far I’m not at all tired of it. Apart from the fact that none of my other friend’s are professional musicians I love Rich’s music because it is real. It’s not just about Jesus and praising God. It’s about living, a Christian living in the world.
Some of my favourite songs from this album include: Cross The Borders (my iPod says it’s called Cross the Border, but the website says Cross the Borders so we’ll go with that), The Problem, Black Dog and A Little More. A Little More connects with me because I often act the way the song describes “A little more is all I need, then I’d happy as can be. Then my life would be complete and I won’t need a single thing, until…” Lately, and possibly partly thanks to this song making me aware of my weakness, I try to be content with what I have. It tends to fall down when I get sick because I can’t do things, even see my Christian brothers and sisters.

Apart from the song content the music is good and Rich’s voice is great. The album is a fair bit heavier than the first one which is great. It has the full range of ‘heaviness’ from A Little More being mega sweet and soft to Black Dog being full-on and a bit angry and if you’ve met the black dog, you’d be angry at him too!

You can listen to a few tracks from the album and buy it from the website.

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
