Thursday Thirteen

14 April 2006 by kristarella

Thirteen things I got for my birthday!

1. Fountain Pen from hubby. Some people think this is silly when they hear it but it’s what I actually wanted. It was the thing I didn’t think I’d get because they’re expensive. My pen and I are still getting acquainted.

2. Two shirts/tops from Mum (I chose them). They’re black and they are nice, I think I look nice in them.

3. A gorgeous book, I Can’t Wait by Serge Bloxh and Davide Cali, from Amy. I love books like this!

4. Jewellery from Gran.

5. Chocolate – some of that is for Easter also.

6. Candle from my bro-in-law, it’s scented and comes with a beaded holder/stand.

7. Beth Orton CD from Mother-in-law. It’s good. There’s a really cool song I’ll have to let you listen to sometime.

8. Bangle that I’ve been wearing everyday since also from Amy.

9. Handbag, made by and from Mother-in-law.

10. Many SMSs wishing me a happy birthday.

11. Batman DVDs from Mum, I chose these as well. They were only $13 each!

12. Plush toy of the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz from my bro.

13. Money! I haven’t decided what to buy yet. I’m not in a decisive shopping mood at them moment. I spent two and a half hours yesterday and didn’t buy anything!

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
