Imagination

21 April 2006 by kristarella

I found a neat quote from Mark Twain. He said: You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

View from workWhen I’m at work I often sit at a particular bench to do PCR or DNA extraction. It’s nice to be able to see the outside world, what the weather is like, that sort of thing. Although I’m quite happy on days like today to not go outside, or even look there, unil hubby gets home. I like it inside where the temperature is constant and I can play some nice music and have cups of tea. This view from thewindow at work sometimes seems really interesting, I think it’s the way shadows fall so perfectly. Sometimes I think it would be nice is the buildings were painted bright colours, it would be fun and uplifting to look at. Whenever people pain big things bright colours, other people say it looks ugly. I think that’s because they’ve used the wrong colours. There is a building in Hornsby, an appartment block, that is purple and yellow but the yellow is bright and the purple is on the grey side. I think if they’d gone all out and done a pretty purple more people would like it. Of course there is always those who will critisise.
