Spell Checker

29 March 2006 by kristarella

What is the go with these spell checkers? I keep dowloading plugins and installing them just the way it says to but none of these spell checker plugins work for me!

Okay, I figured it out. I had to configure the plugin which I hadn’t done but I can’t do that because my web server uses “PHP safe-mode” which they can’t turn off and keep everyone’s files safe because it’s a shared server environment. Bummer! It’s understandable though. Now that I know that the plugin hasn’t been created for safe-mode yet and it’s because of the type of server I chose that I have to be in safe-mode, it’s not as bad. I hope other plugins will run though. I hope they make a safe-mode version of a spell checker soon.

Spell checker is impossible to use if you don’t already know how to spell. Then again, so are dictonaries.

Janet, are you suggesting I can’t spell?! 😛 My problem is I’m too lazy to read over my posts! I find that when I really don’t know how to spell something if I guess and google it, google usually comes back and says “did you mean…” because that alternate (correct) spelling gets more hits. Or I use http://www.dictionary.com

The last spell checker I had for WP eventualy broke as I upgraded..and I haven’t looked for one since.

Now every time I post, I paste my post into my gmail, spell check it, and then paste it back into my post lol.

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
