I feel like such a grub. I was having a kebab for lunch and dropped hummus on my pants. They were washed two days ago, now I can’t wear them again before another wash! I know some people need to wash their pants every time they wear them but I’m a firm believer in getting at least two wears out of jeans and these pants are kind of like jeans.
I called the bookstore. It turns out that they don’t actually have the cd in stock, they have to order it in. So they are doing that for me.
I’m feeling much better about being me today. Genetics didn’t go for too long – turns out that the lab we were visiting was actually a lab I’d already been to and already interviewed a couple of the head guys there! Oh well. So it didn’t take very long and I managed to get home by 5 giving me time to do the dishes and get the meat out for dinner and be a good wife. Much better than I did yesterday which was play on the computer getting my homepage looking less tacky until after hubby got home (possibly around 9:30pm) and then start thinking about cooking dinner.
In the middle of washing the dishes I got a phonecall – had to take off my gloves 🙁 – it was from someone working at a Real Estate agency in the suburb I live saying he had clients interested in buying in the area. I very promptly told him we don’t own the place so we can’t sell it. He asked if there was anyone interested in selling (or something like that) and I told him I didn’t think so. I’m not going to pass on that message – I don’t want to get kicked out of my place because they want to sell, unless it was their first perogative, not something suggested. Even then I don’t really want to move. Is this okay, is it acceptable to just call people up and ask them things like that? I suppose for someone wanting to sell it would be great but for someone not wanting to move, it’s a little disconcerting.
