S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y

18 February 2006 by kristarella

Woo hoo! It’s Saturday! Which means that it’s not Sunday – it felt like a Sunday because I had Yum Cha lunch with my family (Happy Birthday Dad!) and we normally do such a thing on Sundays. Since I realised it’s Saturday I have the Bay City Rollers in my head…

“Ess ay tee you are , dee ay why night
Ess ay tee you are , dee ay why…”

I don’t actually know who the Bay City Rollers are, nor do I know any of their music, except that which is in So I Married An Axe Murderer, which is a totally funny and cute movie and deserves more than a 6.2 out of 10.

I finished making a new blog template. It’s quite simple which is excellent because it can easily be modified to suit what one would want. You might be able to see an example of it here in a while – it’s my design if it’s purple, not if it’s dark and spotted.

I downloaded the Photoshop CS trail like I was saying yesterday – it’s totally AWESOME! I like Photoshop alot! My li’l bro has given me Photoshop 6 to install, I hope that it doesn’t lose too many of the features that are in CS. I’m doing fairly standard stuff so it should be okay.

I whipped out my old SLR camera and I bought some film. It’s nice taking photos – still as frustrating as ever to not know whether the photo is going to be good or not. That’s the excllent thing about digital, while it doesn’t make that cool shutter noise it is instant, you know if the photo is okay or not and whether you need to take it again before it’s too late to do so.

Oh no! My husband just opened my blog on his computer for the first time since I changed templates and it doesn’t work particularly well… I guess I’ll have to make a new one. I admit that what I did may look okay but I did it fairly poorly, it was my first attempt, but now I’m much neater and don’t have nearly as many stuff ups.

Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Title Had a great Saturday at the GKR Karate State Titles! I was a sub for @jamesxuereb.me in the Blue Flame Dragons thanks to his sprained ankle; we won first round and came fourth overall!
I did a bunch of judging and officiating, which was really good.
I didn’t place in my individual events, but had a very fun final round of kumite (sparring).
